Icare Finland presents the second generation of tonometers that make all the difference in IOP (intraocular pressure) measuring. The rebound technology in itself has already been a kind of revolution and the vast group of satisfied users keeps on growing.

This fall we are launching two new state of the art devices to further improve the possibilities of clinical IOP measuring as well as the patients' IOP monitoring at home. In addition we will launch advanced software to analyze measurement data, treatment efficiency and long-term progression.

Together our new products form a strong foundation for easily organized 24/7 care chain for glaucoma patients. The Icare® PRO tonometer is the ophthalmologist's standard device for clinical IOP measuring while the Icare® ONE tonometer is prescribed to the patients for IOP monitoring by themselves at home. Easy to use uniform technology enables the ophthalmologist to compare the results. The Icare® LINK software, instead, will connect instruments to be fully integrated system between glaucoma patients and doctors in charge.

All our products are designed based on ISO 8612 standard of tonometer and clinical trials have been processed according to its requirements.

Icare® ONE tonometer + Icare® LINK software for self-tonometry and IOP screenings

The new Icare® ONE tonometer is designed and recommended for
• Self-tonometry of IOP by glaucoma patients who need to monitor their intraocular pressure at home
• IOP screenings by opticians, pharmacies, communal and occupational health centers etc.

This device sports many new features specifically developed for easy use without assistance. Its indicator displays 11 different pressure zones between 5 - 50 mmHg allowing a leeway of approx 2 mmHg per each measurement zone. The warning signals for high intraocular pressures are easy to interpret without complex instructions. Anyone can learn to use this device. There are two adjustable support elements and an eye cup for easy self-tonometry but it can be used just as well by a family member, optician, nurse or any inexperienced users. A built-in inclination sensor corrects the result automatically, eliminating the tonometer's position sensitivity. A choice of settings allows just one measurement at a time or an automatic series of six measurements - which is recommended for best overall results. Icare® LINK is the state of the art software for processing IOP measuring.
With this additional tool the exact measuring results can be downloaded from the Icare® tonometer's measuring history data.

Icare® PRO tonometer + Icare® LINK software for PC for glaucoma diagnostics and clinical follow-up

The accuracy of this device has been perfected with a new improved, measuring algorithm. New, refined probes make the clinical use of Icare® PRO more cost effective than before. Its multiple new features make it truly the number one, patient and user friendly tonometer ever. The color display makes each reading clear and easy to perceive. A built in inclination sensor corrects the result automatically and allows downward measuring of supine patient. All measuring results are stored in the tonometer's memory. The data includes the date, time of the day, accurate measurement and the quality (deviation range) of each individual measuring. As power supply the Icare® PRO uses rechargeable batteries. The handy docking station offers an integrated charger as well as data transmission. The history of measurements can be transferred from the tonometer via USB cable in the table stand to a computer with our specific Icare® LINK software. The Icare® LINK software is a free Icare® PRO tonometer accessoryAll of the accumulated measuring history data can be examined as numerical charts or graphic presentations. Everything can be printed on paper, even each single measurement.
